HORSE PILL est une performance qui questionne l’assujettissement de l’environnement en déjouant les codes visuels des films Western et les mythes que ce genre a popularisé en Occident. Se déployant
sur une scénographie réalisée à partir de fourrures recyclées, la performance détourne ces récits liés à des territoires chevauchés, pollués, mis en propriété, et exploités. Inversant les rôles, les échelles, et les points de vue entre cowboy et cheval, HORSE PILL crée un monde peuplé d’animaux fantomatiques,hantant les décombres d’une nature sous l’emprise des humain·e·s. La performance propose, non sans ironie, une horse pill - un « remède de cheval » métaphorique à cette violence écocide.
HORSE PILL is a performance that questions the subjugation of the environment by thwarting the visual codes of cowboy movies and the myths that this genre has popularized in the West. Unfolding
on a set created from recycled furs, the performance hijacks these narratives linked to territories that are ridden, polluted, owned and exploited. Reversing roles, scales and points of view between cowboy and horse, HORSE PILL creates a world populated by ghostly animals, haunting the rubble of a "nature" under human control. The performance proposes, not without irony, a horse pill - a metaphorical remedy for this ecocidal violence.
